On 22–23 October, the International Symposium on Trade Secret Protection, hosted by the State Administration for Market Regulation and co-organized by Tsinghua University and other institutions, was held in Guangzhou. Approximately 150 participants attended the symposium, including representatives from intellectual property authorities and diplomatic missions of the United Kingdom, Japan, the Republic of Korea and other countries as well as the European Union, representatives of international organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Licensing Executives Society International, officials from relevant domestic government departments, representatives of local market regulation authorities, relevant industry associations, experts and scholars, and members of the business community.
Landy Jiang, Managing Partner, Global Co-Deputy Head of Dispute Resolution of Lusheng Law Firm, Sophia Hou, Managing Partner of Guangzhou Office, China Head of Enforcement of Lusheng Law Firm, together with Terry Lu of Lusheng were invited to attend the symposium and engaged in interactive exchanges with other participants on trends in trade secret protection. James Godefroy (Gao Zhanyuan), Partner at Rouse International and Deputy Global Head of Enforcement, was also invited to deliver a keynote presentation at the sub-forum on "Corporate Data and Trade Secret Protection" hosted by the School of Law of Tsinghua University.

The symposium aimed to establish an international platform for exchange in the field of trade secret protection. Participants conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as "Trade Secret Protection and Industrial Innovation and Development," "Corporate Data and Trade Secret Protection," and "Cooperation on Trade Secret Protection in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area," thereby injecting impetus into the development of trade secret protection under the new circumstances.
At the sub-forum on "Corporate Data and Trade Secret Protection," James delivered an in-depth presentation on the topic of "Designing Effective Trade Secret Programs," drawing primarily on joint research conducted by Lusheng Law Firm, Rouse International and its consulting affiliate Konsent. In this research, Landy Jiang and Terry Lu participated extensively as representatives of Lusheng.
